The Punjab School Education Department has announced new school timings for all public institutions across the province, effective until October 15, 2025, as schools in most districts reopen from tomorrow.
The revised schedule applies to single-shift schools, double-shift schools, and afternoon schools, with separate timings issued for teachers to allow extra hours for lesson planning, training, and co-curricular activities.

All District Education Authorities have been instructed to strictly follow the new schedule, with a warning that failure to comply will invite legal action. A 15-minute relaxation has been permitted for the opening and closing of girls’ schools.
