Heavy rain brings relief from heatwave in Islamabad

Heavy rain and strong winds swept through several parts of Islamabad on Tuesday, bringing welcome relief from the recent heatwave.

Rain was reported in Tramri, Chattha Bakhtawar, and New Mill, where residents enjoyed the drop in temperature after days of extreme heat.

At the same time, dark clouds covered Khanpur Hazara, Khanpur, and nearby areas before heavy rain and strong winds moved across the region.

The rainfall helped bring temperatures down but also caused water to collect in low-lying areas. Several roads were flooded, affecting the flow of traffic.
