Met office warns of rain and colder weather across Punjab

A rain-bearing weather system has moved into Punjab, raising the likelihood of rainfall in several districts across the province.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department said that rain is expected today in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad and surrounding areas. The incoming rain spell is expected to further lower temperatures, adding to the existing cold conditions.

According to the Met Office, the system will continue to influence weather patterns in different parts of the country until February 3. In Lahore, temperatures are forecast to drop to around 9 degrees Celsius at their lowest, while daytime temperatures may climb to about 21 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has urged the public to take necessary precautions due to the cold weather and the possibility of rainfall.
