Popular Pakistani actress Saba Faisal shares her views on how house help can cause conflicts in families through miscommunications.
In a recent podcast, Saba discussed the steps she takes to prevent external interference from affecting her family dynamics. The Taqdeer star reveals a strict rule in her household, stating, “House help are not allowed to talk to one another.”
Saba explains, “I immediately snub anyone (house help) who tries to sympathize with me,” emphasizing that she tells her staff to focus solely on their duties. She further adds, “All my children, including my daughters-in-law, are equal to me,” stressing the importance of fairness in her family.
She also mentioned that she strictly forbids her domestic staff from speaking negatively about any of her children to other family members.
Podcast host Ahmad Ali Butt suggests making a drama on this subject, to which Saba responds, “They (house help) are responsible for ruining a family.”
She elaborates that house-help often instigates family members against each other, leading to miscommunication and unresolved arguments, which can cause lasting resentment.
