Dr Zakir Naik, a famous Indian Islamic scholar best known for founding the Peace TV network, discusses why he does not want to go to India in an interview with Nadir Ali.

He said that right before the release of Article 370 for Kashmir he had some visitors. Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah had sent one of their subordinates to talk him into moving back to India. They had met up in a five-star hotel in Malaysia. the meeting lasted for about 5-6 hours.

In that meeting, he was convinced to go back to India. To which Zakir Sahab replied, ”If there is anything you want me to do for my country, I am most willing to do that. But there is a condition that Number 1, it must not be against the Holy Quran and Sunnah, and Number 2, I do not want your money.”

Under the precedence of patching things up, they had reached an agreement. But as soon as the MSA was about to leave, he revealed the real reason for his visit.

Which was to gain his support on the Article of Kashmir, which he refused immediately on the grounds that he would do no such thing that might be a source of harm to his Muslim brothers and that they also deserve freedom.

He also said that although India is a beautiful country, its people are the main problem. He states that as he was previously considered an Agent for Pakistan, he was not allowed to live in India. Dr Naik further adds that he is equally eager to visit both India and Pakistan.

Then, the interviewer also discussed his childhood, his hobbies, and his achievements in sports, to which he replied that he was a stutterer in school and had achieved a gold medal in a 10-kilometer marathon race.
