ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has postponed matric or class 10 exams in several countries due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

In an official notification, the board said the exams, which were scheduled to start from March 31, 2026, will not be held in Iran and four Gulf countries, including Kuwait, the UAE and Bahrain, because of security concerns in the region.

According to the notification, steps have been taken to ensure the safety of students given the current situation.

The board added that a revised schedule for the postponed exams will be announced later and students will be informed ahead of time.
