The government has launched the Prime Minister’s special relief scheme across Pakistan, offering a Rs100 per litre discount on petrol to eligible consumers.
The scheme also covers people who purchase less than five litres of petrol. They will receive a Rs500 discount through one token each week. The government will issue one token every week, with a total of four tokens available each month.
Owners of vehicles with engines up to 800cc are also eligible for the relief. They can get a Rs100 per litre discount on 10 litres of petrol once every 10 days.

Under the scheme, eligible vehicle owners will receive three tokens for 10 litres each every month.
The government says the scheme is aimed at providing direct financial relief to eligible petrol consumers across the country.
