Punjab has launched thermal drone surveillance to strengthen action against air pollution in Lahore and other parts of the province.

Officials said the drones will help authorities directly identify sources of smoke and pollution. Once a source is detected, field teams will be dispatched to the location immediately to take necessary action.

Over the past 24 hours, authorities inspected 243 industrial units across Punjab, including 28 in Lahore. They also closely monitored 366 brick kilns across the province, while action against those violating environmental regulations remains underway.
