The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday granted 10-day transit bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Naniwala, as per a report.
Butt had arrived at Islamabad airport after the UK Home Department cancelled his visa for failing to disclose ongoing cases registered against him in Pakistan.
Concealing legal matters is considered a serious violation of UK immigration rules, leading to the immediate cancellation of his visa and deportation.
The hearing, overseen by Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas, addressed cases against the duo related to gambling apps, cybercrime, and other matters, including cases filed while they were abroad.
The petitioner’s lawyer requested 15 days’ transit bail due to a pending case in Karachi, but Justice Minhas granted 10 days, directing the accused to appear before the relevant Karachi court within this period.
The court also barred authorities from arresting Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala during the 10 days. The pair had previously been granted protective bail upon returning from abroad, and multiple cases, including cybercrime charges, remain registered against them.
Sources confirmed that the UK recently cancelled Butt’s visa due to nondisclosure of a 259-case in Pakistan, with the Home Office issuing a formal written order citing the violation.
