Sources said that the United Kingdom has deported Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt after cancelling his visa, and he flew back to Pakistan early Tuesday morning on a flight arranged following the expulsion orders.
Officials said Butt’s visa, which was originally valid until 2027, was revoked after investigators discovered he had not disclosed ongoing cases against him when applying, a violation that led the UK Home Office to order his immediate removal.
The incident came after MI-16 detained Butt and fellow YouTuber Nadeem Naniwala over anonymous complaints accusing them of terrorism links. Both were later cleared of those allegations.
Since Naniwala is a British national, he was released, while Butt’s documents were forwarded to the Home Office, where the undisclosed cases came to light, information that Pakistani authorities had reportedly already shared with Britain.
Following the review, the UK government issued Butt a formal notice instructing him to leave without delay. A close associate of Butt confirmed the deportation, and Naniwala also stated he was accompanying him on the return journey.
British officials said the deportation was carried out under immigration rules tied to visa violations.
