The Balochistan School Education Department has announced short-term summer vacations for all public and private schools in the province’s Winter Zone.

According to the official schedule, schools in these colder regions will remain closed from July 18 to August 2, 2026. Classes will resume on Monday, August 3, 2026.

The notification also confirms that schools in both the Summer Zone and Winter Zone will reopen on the same date, allowing academic activities to restart across the province simultaneously.

The decision was issued through an official notification signed by the Secretary of School Education, Lal Jan Jaffar. All public and private educational institutions concerned have been directed to follow the announced vacation schedule.

The break is part of the province’s routine academic calendar, which is planned according to Balochistan’s diverse weather conditions. Since different regions experience varying climates, the education department divides the province into Summer and Winter Zones when setting school schedules and holidays.

The latest notification applies only to schools located in the Winter Zone and declares the closure as a short-term summer vacation. With the reopening date already announced, all schools across the province are expected to resume classes on August 3.
