The Punjab government has drawn up a comprehensive economic plan worth Rs1,220 billion to accelerate development and strengthen the province’s economy.

According to official sources, the initiative will focus on expanding infrastructure, improving public services, and supporting major sectors of the economy. The plan is also expected to generate employment opportunities and attract fresh investment across Punjab.

A key objective of the strategy is to promote balanced growth throughout the province by narrowing the development gap between urban and rural areas. Several projects related to transport, energy, agriculture, and industry have been included to enhance productivity and economic performance.

Officials stated that the plan is in line with the government’s long-term economic vision, emphasizing sustainable growth, improved governance, and the efficient utilization of public resources.

Priority will be given to projects that can deliver quick and meaningful results. At the same time, the private sector will be encouraged to play a larger role in investment and economic activity, creating more jobs and business opportunities across the province.

Officials added that the implementation process will be closely monitored to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Progress will be regularly reviewed, and priorities may be adjusted when necessary to maintain efficiency and achieve development goals.
