China has donated 300,000 vaccine doses to Pakistan to help protect livestock against major animal diseases, further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the agriculture and livestock sectors.
The Chinese Embassy in Islamabad said the vaccines were provided to help prevent Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) and Brucella melitensis infections among livestock.
The vaccines were handed over to the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) on behalf of Chinese Chargé d’Affaires Shi Yuanqiang.

Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain thanked China for its timely support. He said the vaccines would help protect livestock from diseases and contribute to better animal productivity.
The Chinese Embassy said Pakistan would also gain from China’s experience in biotechnology and disease control. It added that China was committed to further expanding agricultural cooperation with Pakistan.
