Zhalay Sarhadi, the bold and talented actress known for speaking her mind, recently shared a touching story about Urwa Hocane. She told us of Urwa’s quiet act of kindness during one of the most challenging times in her life.
The two worked together early in Urwa’s career on the drama Madiha Maliha, when Urwa was still finding her footing in the industry. She lived in a rented apartment and drove a rented car while pursuing her dreams in Karachi.
Zhalay recalled the memory during an appearance on Samaa News, describing how Urwa stood by her after her father’s death. Despite being new and not close, Urwa stayed with her for two days straight, offering comfort without expecting anything in return.
What moved Zhalay even more was learning that Urwa had gone out of her way to rent a car to be there for her. “This is the kind of kindness you never forget,” she said. “Urwa didn’t have to do it, but she did, wholeheartedly and without fanfare.”
The story illuminates Urwa’s character and shows how genuinely honest compassion often shows up quietly, knocking on our doors when we expect it the least but need it the most, and from those who choose to care.
