The Sindh government has announced a two-day holiday for the Christian community to celebrate Easter.
As per an official notification from the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department, the holidays will take place on April 20 and 21, 2025.
The decision has been met with appreciation by the Christian community in the province. Provincial officials highlighted that this move demonstrates the government’s dedication to honoring religious diversity and providing equal recognition to minority groups.
In addition to the holiday, Christian government employees will also receive their salaries in advance to help them prepare for the celebrations.
Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Anthony Naveed, expressed his thanks to the Chief Minister for the holiday and early salary payments, describing it as a thoughtful gesture of inclusivity and respect.
