The College Education Department of Sindh has officially approved a new policy allowing students to secure admission in Class XI based on their Class IX exam results for the 2025–26 academic year.

This policy will be applied across government colleges that are part of the Sindh Electronic Centralized College Admission Programme (SECCAP).

As per the notification issued Friday, online applications will be open from June 15 to July 15, 2025, through the SECCAP portal (www.seccap.dges.gos.pk).

Placement lists for all streams will be released on July 22. Classes for Class XII will begin on August 1, while Class XI sessions will start on August 5.

In Karachi, the College Zone System will continue, meaning students must apply to colleges within their assigned zones.

However, those scoring A+ or A grades can choose any college they prefer, while those with B to E grades must stay within their designated zones.

Admissions across divisions including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, and Shaheed Benazirabad will be supervised by their respective Regional Directors. The overall process will be overseen by the Director General of Colleges, Sindh.

Admissions will be based on Class IX/O Level Part-I marks, and the IT wing of the Directorate General of Colleges will compile placement lists by gender and academic stream, which will be reviewed and approved by the Chairman of the SECCAP Committee 2025–26.

To handle any concerns after the placement lists are announced, claim centers for boys and girls will be set up throughout the province.

Students who were previously enrolled in HSC or FSC and wish to reapply must first cancel their earlier enrollment and SECCAP admission before submitting a new application.

Also, candidates with a study gap of over five years will not be eligible to apply under this year’s SECCAP programme.
