Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the establishment of Kulsoom Nawaz Hospital in Rawalpindi Cantonment to provide top-quality healthcare services.

According to informed sources, a 3,000-bed hospital will be built at the old GTS bus stand in Chohar Chowk, with the PC-1 already prepared for the project.

Construction is set to begin later this year, with funding allocated under the Public Service Development Project (PSDP).

The hospital will include a dedicated heart ward and serve residents of Rawalpindi, Taxila, Attock, Haripur, Fateh Jang, Tarnol, Hassan Abdal, and Golra.

Local representatives, MNA Malik Ibra and MPA Malik Iftikhar, emphasized their commitment to Rawalpindi’s development, stating that past political neglect had hindered progress in the region.

They believe this hospital will mark a new chapter for the city. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to lay the foundation stone, with special funds allocated for its timely completion.
