TikTok is very popular these days, with many people using it to post videos. Even professionals use it, such as a lady constable who posted a video in her police uniform while in duty, inviting viewers to come and meet her at the location, suspended for her irresponsible actions. Her colleagues can also be seen in the video.

She said, “Hello guys. So, today I’m deputed at Mai Kolachi Road, near Bahria College,” She showed her fellows and her bike on the road by turning her phone.

She said, “As you can see, the entire team is present here, and that’s my bike parked over there. If anyone wants to meet me, they can come here.” After the video was posted, police authorities suspended Maria Gill for her actions.

Deputy Inspector General for South Karachi, Syed Asad Raza, emphasized that government servants should maintain discretion and moderation in their use of social media and uphold high standards of decency.

She was seen in the video interacting with others. This could potentially impact the outcome. She could be making their fellow’s life in trouble.

During the interview, Asad Raza said that the police are professional instructors and their instructions are responsible. Any reaction that cannot be tolerated should be taken seriously.

Maria Gill has received a notice to explain her actions. She will be suspended indefinitely during the disciplinary process.
