Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry strongly stated that Pakistan “will never bow down to Indian hegemony,” emphasizing that the ceasefire along the border with India remains intact.

In a conversation with Anadolu Agency, he underlined key distinctions in regional dynamics by saying, “The truth is that India is not the US and Pakistan is not Afghanistan. India is not Israel and Pakistan is not Palestine.

Pakistan will never be deterred. It can never be coerced. We will never bow down to Indian hegemony. The sooner they realise this, the better it will be for regional peace and the world.”

He pointed out that India’s internal issues, such as rising extremism and violence against minorities like Muslims and Sikhs, are fueling resentment and increasing instability within its own borders.

In a separate interview with RT Arabic, Lt Gen Chaudhry accused India of being the main force behind terrorism in Pakistan, particularly supporting extremist groups in areas like Balochistan.

Referring to the recent incident in Pahalgam, he criticized Indian media for hastily blaming Pakistan without proof.

“Within minutes of the incident, Indian social and mainstream media began hurling baseless accusations towards Pakistan,” he noted, adding that even India’s own officials later admitted the investigation was still ongoing.

He questioned the logic behind rushing to conclusions without facts: “Where is the wisdom in levelling allegations without proper evidence?” He said Pakistan had proposed involving a neutral third party to investigate the matter, but India refused and instead launched military strikes.

“India responded by firing missiles at our mosques and killing women and children,” he said. In return, Lt Gen Chaudhry said Pakistan acted decisively and responsibly, defending its sovereignty.

On the night of May 6 and 7, India reportedly launched missile attacks, to which Pakistan responded by shooting down five of their aircraft. He further shared that India again attacked between May 9 and 10, prompting a careful but firm response from Pakistan.

“We responded. We responsibly and carefully targeted only their military installations. We did not hit any civilian targets. Ours was a measured, fair, and balanced response,” he said.

Lt Gen Chaudhry concluded by reaffirming that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully committed to defending the nation’s borders and sovereignty, no matter the cost.
