Century-old fans are now consuming a lot of energy due to old-designed motors and antiquated materials used in their manufacturing. Seeing the disastrous state of things, the government plans to provide inverter fans with easy instalments.

The federal government is moving forward pretty fast by introducing these fans. These less energy consuming fans would be replacing traditional ones really soon. Its initiation is expected to save around 5,000 MW of electricity per year.

for this reason, a three-year billing record has been requested from the Lahore Electrical Supply Company (LESCO) to seek for potential customers.

The scheme would involve the replacement of 80 million conventional fans throughout the nation, which would allow households an upgrade, which means that the current use of 100 watts of electricity would be decreased to the usage of 50 watts of energy through these inverter fans.

Interested candidates would be required to pay a total of Rs15,000 per fan, with the payment being structured in 12 instalments that will be reduced from their electricity bills.

This plan not only aims to reduce electricity consumption but also to promote the use of verifiable energy solutions across the country.

The energy sector of this country is the fifth most populated country, which faces major challenges due to shortages and unorganized consumption patterns, with large amounts of electricity being consumed by non-productive domestic sectors, leading to resource interference.
