In a major disciplinary move, more than 100 police officers in Lahore have been dismissed from service due to their consistent absence from duty and refusal to perform their responsibilities.

This marks the first time in the city’s history that such a large number of officers have been removed from their positions at once.

According to sources, the dismissed officers were part of the Anti-Riot Force and were relieved of their duties following orders from the DIG Operations.

Officials cited their repeated failure to report for duty as the reason for their dismissal. The names of the officers, including Atiq, Zein, Ali, Shiraz, Shan, Zubair, and Adeel, have been officially documented in the case report.

Investigations revealed that many of these officers were frequently absent, while others deliberately avoided their assignments by making excuses.

Authorities have made it clear that such negligence and irresponsibility will not be tolerated within the police force, emphasizing that there is no place for officers who fail to fulfill their professional obligations.
