In a welcome move for citizens tired of long lines and repeated visits to NADRA offices, the National Database and Registration Authority has now made its key services available at local Union Council offices.

Under this new initiative, residents can now access a full range of identity-related services, such as applying for or renewing National Identity Cards (CNICs), obtaining Child Registration Certificates (B-Forms), Family Registration Certificates, updating marital status, and even cancelling ID cards, right from their nearby Union Council.

The rollout has begun in specific areas, including Saidpur, Sihala, Model Town, Koral, and I-10/4 in Islamabad, along with Mureed in Chakwal and Daulat Nagar in Gujrat.

To further ease the process, NADRA has also taken steps to streamline CNIC issuance and cut down on long wait times.

In Karachi, the authority has expanded its biker service from 3 to 8 units, enhancing doorstep delivery for CNIC renewals and related services.

Director General Amir Ali Khan shared that “residents across all districts of Karachi can now access CNIC renewal and other services through the biker service.”

He also mentioned that to promote the Pak ID mobile app, NADRA organized a roadshow in Karachi and launched awareness campaigns in universities, schools, and shopping malls. The app has received a software upgrade, with all previous technical glitches now resolved.
