To make identity services more accessible for low-income and undocumented individuals, NADRA has upgraded the non-chip CNIC without raising the fee.

The revised card now features names and parentage printed in both Urdu and English, along with a QR code replacing the thumb impression to improve security and ease of verification.

Delivery time has also been significantly reduced, from 30 days to between 6 and 15 days, ensuring faster service for applicants.

Importantly, the fee remains unchanged, and the card is still issued free of charge to first-time applicants.

Further details can be found on NADRA’s official website or through their helpline.
