The Sindh Police has decided to crack down harder on motorcyclists who ride without helmets, with the Inspector General, Ghulam Nabi, warning that such violations will no longer be tolerated.
He announced that traffic police will immediately seize the motorcycles of riders not wearing helmets, and they’ll only be returned once the rider comes back with one.
“We will impose stricter penalties on those not wearing helmets. Motorcycles will be impounded and only released once the rider brings a helmet,” said IG Ghulam Nabi. “We want traffic police to be public-friendly, but safety comes first.”
In addition to the helmet rule, the IG also shared updates on the fight against street crime, noting that over 400 suspects have recently been arrested in operations across Sindh.
