More rain expected in Karachi from July 9 to 11: Met office

Meteorologist Anjum Nazeer has forecasted two to three rounds of rainfall in Karachi during the ongoing month.

During an appearance on Geo News’ morning show Geo Pakistan, she mentioned that light showers are expected in the city from July 9 to 11.

She further noted that Karachi could experience additional rain spells in mid-July, with light rain also expected in some parts of Sindh.

According to Nazeer, the current monsoon system is mainly impacting the northern regions of the country, with heavy rain predicted in the upper and northeastern areas of Punjab. In the last 24 hours, Chirat recorded a significant 92mm of rainfall.

She added that, “at present, there is no risk of a cloudburst anywhere in the country.”
