Lahore weather update: More rain to receive this WEEK

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that the ongoing rain spell in Lahore is expected to continue for the next three days.

Lahore is having a heavy monsoon, with dark clouds covering and different intensities of rain across different areas, and on Tuesday, Nishtar Colony recorded the highest spell of 28mm.

According to the Meteorological Department, Lahore is experiencing heavy rain for the second day in a row.

Several areas of Lahore, including Lakshmi Chowk, Gulberg, Upper Mall, Jail Road, Kalma Chowk, Walton Road, and Ferozepur Road poured with heavy rainfall. The rain has brought a refreshing change to the weather, providing relief from the intense heat.

As the rain continued, many people required shelter from the rain. A significant number of citizens were seen taking cover under the Metro bus track to stay dry, according to ProPakistani.

Balochistan has faced severe damage due to monsoon rains, with the latest spell in Quetta claiming three more lives in separate incidents. According to the Balochistan PDMA, the monsoon has resulted in 19 deaths, including seven children, and left 11 people injured since July 1.

Monsoon rains have affected 3,031 people caused partial damage to 307 houses and completely destroyed 126 homes till now. Additionally, six bridges and 31 kilometers of roads have been damaged, and standing crops on 102 hectares have been impacted.
