The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted an increase in temperatures across Karachi starting today.

According to weather officials, the temperature is expected to rise by one to two degrees Celsius, reaching a maximum of 32°C.

The department has also cautioned that the city will experience extreme sunlight throughout the day, with hot weather conditions usual throughout.

Winds from the northwest are expected to blow at a speed of 6 km/h, while humidity levels remain high at 82%, adding to the discomfort.

This surge in temperature follows a spell of relatively mild weather in recent days. Authorities advise residents to take precautions, particularly during midday hours when the sun is strongest.

Last week, Karachi experienced dry weather with cloudy skies, according to PMD reports.

Despite the overcast conditions, no rainfall is expected in the city. Meteorologists predict that maximum temperatures could reach 30°C, while the minimum temperature may drop to 19°C.
