Winter comes to an end in Sindh and Balochistan, with Karachi set to experience a rising temperature this week, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather experts predict that nighttime temperatures in the city will drop slightly by two to three degrees Celsius over the next few days, ranging between 13°C and 16°C.
In suburban areas such as Surjani Town, Scheme 33, and Steel Town, temperatures may dip to 10°C-12°C, while Federal B Area, Orangi Town, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal could experience lows between 12°C and 15°C.
Coastal regions will see more stable temperatures, staying between 17°C and 20°C, signaling the official end of winter.
From March 6 onwards, daytime temperatures are expected to rise significantly, reaching 35°C to 37°C, while nighttime temperatures will climb to 22°C to 25°C.
Meanwhile, the rain-bearing weather system impacting Lahore and various parts of Punjab is expected to continue.
Light rain is forecast to continue throughout the day, but its intensity will lessen by the evening. As the system moves on, clear skies are expected by tomorrow.
While the cooler weather has been welcomed by Lahore’s residents, it has also caused some disruptions.
The administration has mobilized teams to keep roads and underpasses clear, urging travelers to take necessary precautions.
In contrast, hilly areas of Abbottabad, including Thandiyani, Nathiagali, Donga Gali, and Ayubia, have experienced their heaviest snowfall of the season with some areas receiving up to three feet of snow.
Temperatures have dropped below freezing, leading to blocked roads in Galiyat, including the main Abbottabad to Murree route.
