Karachi is expected to experience rising temperatures in the last 10 days of Ramadan, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz.

Sarfraz stated that the early days of Ramadan will remain relatively pleasant, though the daytime heat will gradually increase. “Days will be comparatively hot, but nights will be more comfortable due to sea breezes,” he explained.

On current weather conditions, The PMD has forecast a slight increase in cold conditions for the next two days, with nighttime temperatures dropping to around 10-12°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Monday, the temperature was recorded at 13.5°C. Winds are currently blowing from the north at a speed of 7 km per hour and humidity levels are at 32%.

Meanwhile, the Met Office has forecast mainly cold and dry weather across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours.

However, certain regions of Kashmir, north-east Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may receive rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous areas.

Additionally, light to moderate fog is expected in areas across northeastern Punjab during the morning hours.

The PMD also noted that continental air is currently dominant across much of the country.

A westerly wave is expected to reach the western and upper regions later tonight, which may influence the weather pattern in the coming days.
