Karachi is expected to witness light fog on Wednesday morning, with strong winds likely to affect the city intermittently for two days today and tomorrow as per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) statement issued on Tuesday.

According to the Met Office, the weather in the port city is expected to stay dry and cool over the next 24 hours.

The PMD reported that Tuesday’s minimum temperature was recorded at 12.5°C and predicted that it may decrease to around 11 to 13°C in the next 24 hours.

The department further stated that humidity levels were recorded at 52%, with gentle winds blowing from the northeast.

Recently, a weather analyst indicated that another cold wave is likely to impact several cities in Sindh, including Karachi, starting from January 24. The analyst suggested that temperatures in the port city could drop to single digits during the final week of this month.

The meteorologist also mentioned that the cold, westerly winds might lead to rainfall in different regions of the country and snowfall in mountainous areas.
