Indian, Pakistani Miss Grand participants forge strong connection

Miss Grand International 2024 beauty pageant held in Bangkok, an emotional moment took place between the Indian and Pakistani contestants.

Rachel Gupta from Jalandhar, India, who emerged as the winner, shared a heartfelt message for her “Punjabi sister” Roma Michael from Pakistan.

“Borders may keep us apart, but they cannot separate the bond we share,” wrote India’s Rachel Gupta.

In her Instagram post, Rachel expressed her deep admiration for Roma, highlighting the strength and grace she showed throughout the competition.

She said:“Roma, my heart swells with pride when I think of your courage and grace. Competing alongside you has been a blessing, like finding home away from home.

Your kindness, your hard work, and your strength have been an example to all and I am so proud of everything you’ve overcome on your own.

Borders may keep us apart, but they cannot separate the bond we share. We are born of the same blood, and you will always have a friend in me, and a home in India”

Miss Grand International aims to promote peace and understanding between cultures, Known for its creativity and fun, the pageant fosters dialogue and connections between participants from diverse backgrounds.

As this year’s winner, Rachel received the prestigious “Golden Crown,” crafted from gold and brass and set with diamonds and emeralds,and the designation is changes every three years.
