The hugely famed actor Shaan Shahid recently disclosed that he was given the role alongside Mahira Khan in the Magnum Opus drama “Humsafar”, but as he was occupied with some work commitments and had refused the role, so it was given to Fawad Khan.

“I was offered the role played by Fawad Khan in Humsafar, but I was busy with other work during that period,” he stated.

In a recent interview, Shaan Shahid stressed upon the importance of betterment and evolution in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

When inquired about his disappearance from television, the Zarrar star said that he was waiting for an interesting script before being committed to any dramas or other projects.

He asked for the creation of OTT platforms to delve further into diverse topics that may not be suitable for traditional television.

According to him current TV content often features dull or boring scripts and storylines, as industry professionals usually do not have a limited time to think of developing any well-thought-out projects amidst the race to produce the most dramas and achieve the highest ratings and profits possible.

Shaan, who has from the start continuously opposed Pakistani artists working in India, rendered as saying that he had never stopped anyone from taking up opportunities across the border, as everyone has their own pathway and right to work.

He further explained that his attitude was swayed by his father’s strong position on Indian-held Kashmir and the human rights violations occurring there.

He thinks it would be unsuitable to take no notice of and diminish his father’s ideology by working in Bollywood.
