Gold prices break records, cross Rs300,000 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan have reached a first-time high, surpassing the Rs300,000 per tola milestone for the first time in history.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold has risen by Rs1,346 per tola, setting a new record at Rs300,346 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has seen an increase of Rs1,154, now reaching Rs257,241.

Internationally, gold prices have also seen an upward trend, rising by $10 per ounce, bringing the international rate to $2,869 per ounce.

Just a day earlier, on Thursday, both international and local gold markets experienced a dip. In the global bullion market, the price per ounce dropped by $9, settling at $2,859.

Locally, gold prices also declined, with the per tola rate decreasing by Rs900, bringing it down to Rs298,700.

Additionally, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs772, reaching Rs256,087.
