ARY Digital recently launched its new drama, “Aye Ishq e Junoon,” a story that revolves around intense romance and ambition.

The show has an outstanding cast, with Sheheryar Munawar, Ushna Shah, and Shuja Asad in lead roles under the direction of Qasim Ali Murid.

Show will air as a replacement for “Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum” on Mondays, adding another major series to ARY Digital’s weekly line-up.

However, viewers noticed similarities with another drama currently airing on Geo Entertainment, “Sunn Mere Dil.”

Starring Wahaj Ali and Maya Ali, “Sunn Mere Dil” depicts the story of a wealthy man who meets a struggling young woman who financially supports her brother’s cancer treatment.

The story of a rich man meeting a poor woman is a popular trope in South Asian dramas and has drawn comparisons to “Aye Ishq e Junoon”, which also revolves around a similar premise.

In both series, the romantic tension is heightened by the socio-economic differences and the struggle for survival of the main characters. However, both shows seem to follow a similar storyline.

Despite their common themes, these dramas highlight the enduring popularity of such storytelling elements on South Asian television, where tales of romance and recovery remain popular with audiences.

The “Aye ishq e junoon” resonates as much as “Sunn Mere Dil”, but the two series provide a compelling and highly persuasive task that captures viewers.
