The University of the Punjab has declared the first week of September as a “Zero Week” in light of the ongoing severe weather and widespread flooding across the country.

According to a notification issued by the registrar, all academic activities will remain suspended from September 1 to 7 to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.

During this week, university departments will complete admission procedures, orientation sessions, and hostel allotments, while faculty and administration will engage in meet-and-greet activities to help students settle back on campus.

The notification further stated that regular classes and examinations will resume from September 8, 2025, as scheduled. The academic calendar will remain unchanged, though extra classes may be arranged online or on Saturdays if required.
