A bus driver lost his life after suffering a heart attack while driving in Gujranwala, which caused the bus to veer out of control and crash into another bus, injuring 11 passengers.
Rescue officials said the incident took place near Saroki when the driver suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while the vehicle was on the move. The bus then rammed into another bus traveling on the same route.
According to rescue sources, both buses were operated by the University of Gujrat and were on their way from Gujrat to Alipur Chatha.
Several female students and members of the university staff were injured in the accident. Rescue teams transported the injured to nearby hospitals, while the driver died at the scene.
Authorities have started an inquiry to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
