LAHORE: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a new alert warning of more rain in different parts of the province.

According to PDMA officials, heavy showers are expected in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Sialkot within the next 24 hours.

The authority has also raised concerns about possible urban flooding in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Gujranwala due to the predicted downpours.

The ongoing monsoon spell is expected to continue until July 31, increasing the risk of flooding in several areas.

The Director General of PDMA also warned that rivers such as Chenab, Jhelum, and Ravi, along with their tributaries, could see rising water levels.

A rise in water flow is expected at the Ganda Singh point on the River Sutlej, while a low-level flood has already been observed in Nala Baeen near Narowal.

Authorities have urged residents and local administrations to remain cautious and take necessary safety steps to reduce possible dangers.
