KARACHI: Residents of Karachi may experience gas shortages for several hours today following the closure of two gas fields, which have created a shortfall in the supply system of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
SSGC officials said the disruption in gas supply could last for a few hours, with the impact expected to be most severe between 2 pm and 7 pm.
A company spokesperson stated that efforts are underway to manage the situation and restore normal gas supply, adding that the issue is being actively handled to reduce inconvenience for consumers.
