3 major Motorways shut down due to strong winds

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has temporarily shut down several motorway sections in Punjab due to strong winds, prioritizing public safety.

As per the advisory:

  • M-2 Motorway is closed from Kot Momin Interchange (KM 163) to Thokar Niaz Baig (KM 01)
  • M-3 Motorway is shut from Faizpur Interchange (KM 1147) to Darkhana Interchange (KM 918)
  • M-11 Motorway remains closed from Mehmood Booti (KM 02) to Sambrial Toll Plaza (KM 91)

These closures are a preventive step amid severe weather conditions. The NHMP has requested travellers to avoid these routes until further notice.
