The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has temporarily shut down several motorway sections in Punjab due to strong winds, prioritizing public safety.
As per the advisory:
- M-2 Motorway is closed from Kot Momin Interchange (KM 163) to Thokar Niaz Baig (KM 01)
- M-3 Motorway is shut from Faizpur Interchange (KM 1147) to Darkhana Interchange (KM 918)
- M-11 Motorway remains closed from Mehmood Booti (KM 02) to Sambrial Toll Plaza (KM 91)
These closures are a preventive step amid severe weather conditions. The NHMP has requested travellers to avoid these routes until further notice.
