With winter around the corner, consumers in Sindh and Balochistan may face higher gas prices as the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has requested a tariff hike from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The company has proposed an increase of Rs125.41 per MMBTU for the current fiscal year, suggesting that the average gas price be revised to Rs1,783.96 per MMBTU for both provinces.
OGRA is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the proposed hike in Karachi on November 11.
