The Sindh School Education Department has instructed all private schools across the province to ensure proper fire safety arrangements to protect students and staff in case of an emergency.
The Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions has directed principals and school administrators to strictly follow fire safety requirements.
As part of the instructions, private schools must install fire alarms and smoke detectors and ensure that fire extinguishers are properly placed and kept in working condition. Schools have also been told to keep emergency exits clear and easily accessible at all times.

The department has further directed school staff to receive proper training on fire safety procedures and how to respond during emergency situations.
The measures are intended to improve safety standards in private schools and help protect students, teachers and other staff members in the event of a fire or similar emergency.
