Apple has confirmed that its next big launch event will take place on September 9, 2025, at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, where the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series, new Apple Watches, and possibly other products.

The event carries added significance as Apple faces growing competition in artificial intelligence.

A major update to Siri, which was supposed to bring it on par with rivals like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini, has been delayed, and several other promised AI features are still pending. Fans are waiting to see if Apple will finally showcase new developments in this area.

Among the expected highlights is the rumored iPhone 17 Air, a thinner model inspired by the MacBook Air’s design and naming.

While it may come with trade-offs in battery life or camera performance, its slimmer profile is aimed at reviving consumer excitement. It is expected to compete directly with Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge.

The iPhone 17 lineup will likely feature the standard and Pro models, with reports suggesting the Plus variant could be discontinued due to lackluster demand.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo noted that the iPhone 16 Plus made up just 5–10% of shipments earlier this year, making it a likely candidate for retirement.

Apple is also anticipated to roll out new Apple Watch models, potentially offering better health features and deeper integration with iPhone’s AI functions, though no official details have been revealed yet.
