CCTV footage has confirmed that a leopard was spotted near the NUST University campus in Islamabad, raising concern among authorities.
The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board contacted the university administration right away to make sure both students and the animal remain safe.
Officials said a trap cage has already been placed, while rescue teams are closely watching the leopard’s movement in sectors H-10 and H-12. Steps are being taken to avoid any risk to people living in the area as well as to protect the animal.
This sighting comes only a few days after another leopard was seen near the International Islamic University in Islamabad. The latest footage shows the animal moving around the NUST campus, which led to a quick response from wildlife officials.
