Gold prices in Pakistan fell for the second straight day on Friday, following a similar trend in global markets.
In the local market, the per tola price dropped by Rs1,000 to Rs395,800, while the 10-gram rate declined by Rs858 to Rs339,334, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, gold had already dipped by Rs2,000 per tola, closing at Rs396,800.
Internationally, bullion also edged lower, with the rate standing at $3,740 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $10 decrease.
Meanwhile, silver prices bucked the trend in the domestic market, rising by Rs64 per tola to settle at Rs4,499.
