KARACHI: All public and private schools across Sindh will reopen from August 1 (Friday) as the summer break concludes on July 31.
The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has released the official school and college timings for the new academic session, which will apply to both single and double-shift institutions at the primary, secondary, and college levels.
Single-Shift Primary Schools:
Classes will begin at 8:00 am and end at 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday. On Fridays, schools will close at 12:00 noon.
Double-Shift Primary Schools:
The first shift will run from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, while on Fridays it will end at 12:00 noon.
The second shift will operate from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.
Single-Shift Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools:
These institutions will follow a schedule of 8:00 am to 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, they will conclude at 12:00 noon.
Double-Shift Secondary Schools:
The first shift will start at 7:30 am and end at 12:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, classes will end earlier at 10:30 am.
The second shift will continue from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Colleges:
Morning shift colleges will operate from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday to Thursday and Saturday, and from 8:30 am to 11:30 am on Friday.
Evening Colleges:
These will remain open from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday to Thursday and Saturday, and from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday.
