The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Sindh has issued a province-wide alert after the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted rain and thunderstorms in different parts of the province until July 25.
PDMA Sindh Director General Syed Salman Shah said strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are expected to bring widespread rainfall. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Sanghar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Jamshoro, and Shaheed Benazirabad.
According to the PMD, Ghotki, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Sukkur, and Khairpur are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall. Meanwhile, Larkana, Naushahro Feroze, and Thatta are likely to experience rain along with thunderstorms.

The PDMA has instructed all district administrations, concerned departments, and emergency response agencies to stay on alert and ensure precautionary measures are in place.
Officials have warned that strong winds and lightning may damage weak structures, electricity poles, solar panels, and billboards. Residents have also been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during bad weather and follow safety instructions issued by the authorities.
