The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released a three-day weather forecast for Karachi Division covering the 8th, 9th and 10th of Muharram. The forecast indicates partly cloudy and humid weather from Wednesday, June 24 to Friday, June 26, with occasional winds and a possibility of drizzle in isolated areas.

Partly cloudy skies and humid conditions are expected across Karachi on Wednesday. Occasional winds are likely, while drizzle may occur in some areas.

The maximum temperature is expected to range between 34°C and 36°C. The minimum temperature was recorded at around 29°C overnight.

Humidity stood at 75 per cent in the morning and is expected to decrease to between 55 and 65 per cent by the evening. Winds will continue to blow from the southwest.

Weather conditions on the 9th of Muharram are expected to remain much the same. The city is likely to experience partly cloudy skies, humid weather, occasional winds and a chance of isolated drizzle.

Maximum temperatures will stay between 34°C and 36°C, while minimum temperatures are expected to remain between 28°C and 30°C.

Morning humidity is forecast to range from 70 to 80 per cent before easing to 55 to 65 per cent later in the day. Southwesterly winds are expected to continue.

Ashura is also expected to bring similar weather conditions. Partly cloudy skies, humid weather, occasional winds and drizzle in isolated areas are likely throughout the day.

Temperatures are expected to remain steady, with daytime highs between 34°C and 36°C and nighttime lows between 28°C and 30°C.

Humidity during the morning will likely remain between 70 and 80 per cent before falling to around 55 to 65 per cent in the evening. Winds will continue from the southwest.

According to the PMD, most parts of Sindh are expected to experience hot and dry weather during this period. Coastal areas, including Karachi, are likely to remain partly cloudy with occasional winds and a chance of drizzle.

People taking part in Muharram processions and gatherings are advised to prepare for warm and humid weather, especially during the daytime on the 9th and 10th of Muharram.

While interior districts of Sindh are expected to remain hot and dry, Karachi is likely to experience relatively milder weather because of partly cloudy skies, sea breeze and slight chances of drizzle along the coast.

The minimum temperature, which reached 29°C on Wednesday, is expected to remain between 28°C and 30°C on Thursday and Friday, offering slightly more comfortable conditions.

Despite this, humidity levels will remain high, particularly during the morning hours, making the weather feel warmer than the actual temperature. People attending outdoor events and processions are advised to stay hydrated.

There is a chance of isolated drizzle on all three days, especially in coastal areas. Any rainfall is expected to be light and scattered rather than widespread. However, the higher moisture levels are likely to increase humidity, making conditions feel warmer, particularly during the morning hours when Muharram processions are usually at their busiest.
