KARACHI: Several parts of the city have been experiencing cloudy skies and light rain since last night and into early Wednesday morning.

Areas like Lyari, Mauripur, Clifton, and Baldia Town saw steady drizzle, while different parts of the Malir district also received light showers. Rainfall accompanied by strong winds was reported in Landhi, Korangi, and Shah Faisal Colony.

The return of sea breeze has brought a refreshing change to the weather, giving some relief from the recent heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, Karachi is likely to see drizzle during both day and night in the coming days.

As of early Wednesday, light rainfall continued in scattered areas, with overcast conditions mainly across the port city. The maximum temperature for the day is expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius.

The weather office also mentioned that most areas of Sindh will face hot and humid conditions today. However, light rain or drizzle may occur later in the day in coastal areas and in Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Khairpur districts.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall and possible flooding in local streams, drains, and hilly areas in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Buner, Charsadda, Swabi, Mardan, Murree, Galliyat, Nowshera, Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, northeastern Punjab, Kashmir, and parts of Baluchistan between July 23 and 24.
