The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee incurred expenses of Rs 2 million for the Ramadan moon sighting process. The amount will be covered by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government.
The provincial government has finalized the agenda for its 48th cabinet meeting, which will take place on February 25 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Suhail Afridi. During the session, the cabinet is expected to review and approve the expenses related to the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Media reports state that the February 25 meeting will follow an 18 point agenda. Among the items listed is the approval of Rs 2 million spent by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on arrangements for sighting the Ramadan crescent.
As outlined in the agenda, formal approval for these expenses will be sought from the cabinet during the meeting.
