The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has launched a new digital financing scheme aimed at improving access to funding for women entrepreneurs and supporting financial inclusion in the country.

Under this plan, Walee Financial Services will introduce a product named “Khud Mukhtar Khatoon”, which will provide asset-based financing ranging from Rs100,000 to Rs1.5 million for women looking to expand their businesses.

The facility can be used to buy machinery, equipment, and other necessary business assets. It is fully digital and Shariah-compliant, with applications available through the “Hakeem” mobile app. Women will repay the financing in equal monthly installments over one year.

The SECP said that expanding financial access for women and promoting entrepreneurial independence remain key priorities.

The regulator also noted that non-banking financial companies engaged in lending disbursed Rs111 billion between July and December 2025, supporting around 7.5 million micro and small businesses during that time.
